> Ray Pereira : I used to see Ray playing with "Man Friday", a very hip reggae band. Later we worked together in Vince Jones' band for a while. Ray seems to play every weird and wonderful percussion instrument, and then some. Ray plays on "All I See Is The Blues", "Three Sheets to the Wind", "I Hate Jazz" and "When You Come Back".

> Wilbur Wilde : Willy came over on one of the really hot Melbourne Summer days where it was about 40C in my studio. We'd turn the fan off, record some hot saxophone in sauna conditions then blast some cool air in while listening back. This guy is so good he made it a breeze! Wilbur plays on "Hey You Blues".

> Jamie Oehlers: Jamie has been playing up a storm wherever he goes, to rave reviews and it's easy to hear why.
He's on "I Hate Jazz"!

> Lachlan Davidson : Lachlan plays every reed instrument under the sun and a few under the moon. He plays the great tenor solo on "So Now The Rain".

> Anthony Schulz : "Hey You Blues" started out life sounding more like a straight blues but it didn't completely grab me. I worked and re-worked this one till it was just right, and when Anthony came in, it all fell in to place, like the final piece in the jigsaw puzzle!

> Ed Bates : In '96 I was ringing around trying to find a pedal steel guitarist who could play jazz, I made a lot of calls and one name kept coming up - Ed Bates. I've always loved the sound of pedal steel since I first heard it in country music as a kid, so I wanted to include that sound in my "jazz" stuff. I rang Ed and when he called around a few days later with his pedal steel and some Neenish tarts, I knew this guy was very hip. Ed has an encyclapeadiac knowledge of music, styles and players - just ask him about the history of tempered tuning! He played on several tracks on Translucent and "Nowhere Man" on >>untitled<<.

> Sarah Kirsch : My wife Sarah is one of those rare musical talents, a complete natural. She sang a beautifully haunting version of "Three Sheets to the Wind" - we just set up two microphones and recorded it with me on steel string acoustic. It turned out so well that now we're working together on our next CD.
